An efficient grounding kit to accommodate a broad range of coax sizes. It will help distributors reduce inventory costs as well as eliminating errors due to incorrectly defined line sizes.
Features:
» Fits coaxial cables from 1/2'' to 3'', also fits elliptical waveguide EW43 to EW220 and WE61 to WE191.
» Cut or break scored copper strap at marked location.
» Kit includes universal slotted 3/8'' two hole lug, hardware, butyl, electrical tape and brass tightening tool.
» Complies with MIL-STD-188-124A and withstands lightning strikes in excess of 200kA.
How to install universal grounding kit?
• With your stripping tool, remove approximately 2” of the cable jacket at the location you want the grounding cable assembly to connect.
• Cut scored copper strap at closest location to cable diameter after installing onto cable. Section A for 3/8”, 1/2” cable, B for 7/8”, C for 1-1/4”, D for 2-1/4”, 1-5/8”, E for 3” cable.
• Use tightening brass tool to tighten grounding strap.
• Start the weatherproofing by first using butyl rubber tape, then take the electrical tape and start wrapping around rubber tape about 1” - 2” beyond where rubber tape ends.
